Quest For Fire-The Hawk That Hunts the Walking

Sometimes a band chooses well and sounds like it’s name, Quest For Fire is one of those bands. The name evokes a certain primal imagery that is well reflected in the music. Starting off with a simple, naked guitar line, drums signal a change. All of a sudden, things get heavy. Dual guitar lines weave around each other. Hazy, thick as smoke vocals tell the somewhat psychedelic story of “The Hawk that Hunts the Walking.” It is drums wailing, axes grinding hard psychedelia reminiscent of the early psychedelic Black Sabbath. Their self-titled debut is out now, get it before the hawk starts hunting you.
