Western Vinyl is proving there is never too much of a good thing, as they continue to release increasingly impressive records. Already having issued full-length releases from the likes of The Dirty Projectors, Here We Go Magic, and Balmorhea, now it is Sleep Whale’s turn to impress unsuspecting listeners with their subtle and meticulous music. Making their way from Denton, Texas, Sleep Whale effortlessly combines intriguing vocals with acoustic percussion before furthering the groups sound by adding layers of effects and modulations. The end result becomes a welcome amalgamation of rock, pop, and ambient noise all of which crystallizes around skillful production.
