I often joke that I am a music geek but I recently had an experience that impressed upon me how big of a music geek I truly am. I was at an underground variety show that featured, amongst other things, a fair share of burlesque. So there I am, watching a woman on stage wearing nothing but pasties, a g-string, and some feathers. I lean over to my girlfriend and tell her, “There’s a mostly naked woman on stage and I’m sitting here trying to identify the song that’s playing.” Sad would be the day I’m forced to choose between music and sex. If that day came I’d have to think long and hard. Until then I can take pleasure in the fact that I can have both (regardless of where my attention happens to be at any given moment.)
